My name is Michelle Bot. I am a graduate from Iowa State University. While in school, I developed a great interest in photography, trying to expose myself to as many different styles as possible by working for a wedding photographer, the University paper, the Iowa State Statistics Department updating their web site photos, the Iowa Event Center in Des Moines, as well as the black and white photo lab on campus. I have been bit by the travel bug over the last couple years and studied abroad in Spain for three months, which was an amazing experience that threw me into another culture. Another more recent experience I had like that was a volunteer trip I participated in through Global Citizens Network to Tanzania, Africa. This trip was an eye-opening experience that will always stay with me.

I recently finished a 6 month internship with the Jane Goodall Institute in Arlington, VA as their Image/Footage Archive Communications intern. This internship was phenomenal and included everything from archiving, graphic design, acting as their house photographer, and any other tasks I was asked to do. I am currently back in Minnesota looking for the next step and job hunting all over the country. I continue to do my own personal digital and black and white film work, as well as various free-lance jobs. If you would like to contact me with questions, just click on the contact link.
